VOIP – what price free speech?

eBay acquisition of Skype is a reminder to the world's trillion-dollar telecoms industry that all phone calls will eventually be free

In July, a certain Niklas Zennstrom appeared on the screen of a packed auditorium at Stanford University. He was actually sitting in Estonia and calling on a Skype video call.
Sitting next to him was Tim Draper, a venture capitalist who had invested $10m in Skype. Draper is the ultimate loud American, whereas Zennstrom is a sombre Swede.
