Company Policy on Health and Safety at Work
Europartnership UK Limited recognises and accepts its responsibility
as an employer for providing a safe and healthy workplace and working
environment for all of its employees.
Europartnership will ensure compliance with all relevant UK Safety
Legislation currently in force and any new legislation that is introduced.
In taking reasonable and practical steps to meet this responsibility,
particular attention will be given to the provision and maintenance
of:
• Safe plant, equipment and systems of work.
• Safe arrangements for the use, handling, storage and transport
of articles and substances.
• Sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision
to enable all employees to avoid
• hazards and contribute positively to their own safety and health
at work.
• A safe place to work environment.
• A healthy working environment.
• Appropriate welfare facilities.
Europartnership’s Directors are responsible for meeting the obligations
required by the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations
1992 and ‘Adapting to change in work and society: a new Community
strategy on health and safety at work 2002–2006’ (European
Commission: March 2002)
Employees will be made aware of their duty, under section 7 of the
Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, to take care for their own safety
and that of other persons, and to co-operate with the Europartnership
in order to enable it to carry out its responsibilities successfully.
A copy of this statement will be made available to all employees and
forms part of the core values of the Company. It will be reviewed,
added
to or modified from time to time, and may be supplemented in appropriate
cases by further statements relating to matters of Health and Safety.
